First of all, I started a book club! I created a book club on the Fable app. Initially, I tried to get a few friends together in person to read books and hang out, but it’s hard getting people together. I always have a pile of books lying around that is waiting to be read. My lists of books on my Audible, Everand, Libby, and Hoopla accounts are even more ridiculous.

This month, I am committed to reading Seven Days of June by Tia Williams. I started it but got distracted with life. That tends to be the case when I try to read hard copies of books. It is why most of my “reading” now consists of audiobooks. I don’t think that’s cheating, either.

I’ve only read through the first chapter so far, but that prologue caught my attention. It starts with the main character, Eva Mercy, having a little “alone” time with her adult toys, but she gets choked up on a piece of gum. Poor thing can’t please herself and chew gum at the same time. Even more unfortunate is that Eva is an erotica novelist who doesn’t live what she writes about. I can relate.

From what I understand, this book is supposed to be a romance. I haven’t actually read the synopsis of this book, but a good friend of mine recommended it to me. I have heard good things about it though.

I’m looking forward to getting lost in a physical book again because it has been so long. I’m sure this will be exactly what I’m looking for. I’ll come back with a full review when I’m finished.
